Question re: cover for aftermarket car radio.?
I bought a used car from a dealer which is missing the cover for an aftermarket radio someone had installed. So the radio is not usable and I do not even know what brand radio it is, except it says "security" and there is a red light that flashes. How can I find out what brand radio it is? Is it possible to buy a cover from the manufacturer rather than replace the whole radio?

How to fix a static/noise problem on my aftermarket car radio?
I recently had a Pioneer Premier DEH-500UB radio installed in my car and when the volume is off (Mute) or even at a reasonable level, there is a sort of repetitive static sound coming out. I have heard that it could be the lack of a noise filter on the system so it is picking up the engine noise and I have heard that is an electrical problem that needs hours upon hours to fix (which is obviously what the shops thinks I should do). Does anyone have any help?

Any aftermarket car radios with the Microsoft Sync technology or something similar in it?
I got to see it in action at a Ford dealership but I want to see if there is a way to get it without getting a new car for my Zune. I'm already aware of the Aux jack but I want to see if there is something that allows you to use the car controls to change songs similar to the iPod.

If you have an aftermarket car radio and want to install another, are they the same basic hookups?
I currently have a JVC KD-HDR1 radio in my car and am looking to give to my husband and purchase a Pioneer DEH P-4000UP. Since it is an aftermarket radio, will this be difficult to install, or will the installation be basic since they are both aftermarket radios. We are getting the Pioneer from Crutchfield so we will have all the installation sheets. Any guidance would be helpful. We don't really want to spend over $100 for install if this could be a simple job. Thanks.
