G.C car Audio, did they throw in a free snake?
I wanted a good job done on the install of the stereo in my new car so I paid an 'upmarket ' place to do it. when I first got it back, there was a loud hissing noise indfependent of the motor or even the stereo being turned on. After a bit of arguing, they fixed it but the fix only lasted a short time. Now I get a hiss through the left front tweeter that lasts a few seconds whenever I turn the igniton on or whenever I use my left indicator. The car sound dewds tried telling me it's the fault of the Ford head unit but there's a hiss even when the head unit's not on. I don't want to let those idiots loose on my car again. Any suggestions? It's a soundstream amp running 4 speakers and the sub.

Car won't start - dash lights flickering?
When I tried to start my car this morning the engine would not turn over. It was a sound I've never heard before and it almost sounded like a grinding noise. The dash lights were flickering on and off. There is some corrosion on my battery so it could be a connection problem, I've just heard what a car sounds like when it has a dead battery and this was not it. It's a 2003 ford taurus. Any ideas? I've read that it could be a alternator problem and I'll probably just have to tow it to my mechanic but I'm going to take out the battery and get it tested at an auto parts store first. Normally I just ask my dad these things but he's currently in Iraq so I can't just pick up the phone and call him. Does taking the battery out to get tested sound like a better idea than jumpstarting?

Help oil leak won't BMW 318i saloon 2002 e46 n42?
The car was leaking oil put 6 litres in that morning as had to use the car. Smoke was burning off the engine and burning off exhaust. The car sounded allot noisier than it usually was, stalled and won't start. The crank shaft moves but won't start up. Turns out the oil was leaking from a screw on the side of the engine. Told it was on over flow. Topped oil up and doesn't seem to have leaked since. Was told head gasket but no gunk in oil, no over heating, coolant was fine. Worried engines is seized but the crank moves, Thinking maybe a vacuum pipe caused by the oil leak. Not sure where to start first. Thanks.
