Tips For Choosing A Car Audio System - Which Is The Right One For You?

When it comes to deciding on which car audio system to buy, there are some things to consider before starting your search for just the right one. There is such a wide array of audio systems available on the market today; it's difficult to decide where to begin. Whether you're looking for something simple and quality isn't of big importance or you want an audio system that packs a punch, you are sure to find the one that compliments your car, fits your needs and projects your personality.

The list of manufacturers is extensive and there are even more wholesale and retail suppliers from which to choose, so it might be easier to start the search for the best car audio system for you if you decide on a certain brand name. There are many popular brands and you can find them at most retail stores that sell car audio systems. Some of the most popular brands are Kenwood, Alpine, Pioneer and Sony, all of which have gotten great reviews on their components and accessories for several years. As you tour some of the many stores during your search and tell the salesperson what you have in mind to be the best audio system for you, be sure to get as much information as possible and make comparisons on quality, price, warranty, installation services and accessories. Many retail outlets have small, enclosed rooms with audio system displays set up so you can actually hear what you're getting before you buy it.

Something else to think about after you have gotten the audio system of your dreams, is that maybe a little more kick could be put into it. It sounds great but it could be better. Adding a subwoofer to your car audio system actually gives more than a 30% additional sound ability to your stereo. There are many other accessories available to compliment your audio system too, such as amplifiers and hand held remote controls. IPod systems have fast become very popular. You can purchase an adaptor kit at most audio system retail stores that connect directly to factory-installed radios or to your custom installed car audio system. Then just plug in the iPod unit. HD (High Definition) is not just for CD movies anymore. Now, HD is available for car audio systems as well.

So, how do you know which car audio system is right for you? If you are enthusiastic about what you want and make your choices carefully, you'll be sure to find the sound system that is perfect for you and for your car. Budget can make a big difference in your decision about which audio system to buy but because of the many different brands available, finding the car audio system that will work for you could be easier than you might think. Brands of car stereos and components like Panasonic and JVC are more budget friendly than they previously were several years ago. Look in local newspapers for sales advertisements and take advantage of your local telephone directory for wholesale and retail stores that supply car stereo equipment. You may possibly be able to complete your car audio system purchase in one complete stop. Don't forget to add to your CD library while you're shopping, to further compliment your car audio system purchase. Additional accessories that are essential, are carry around CD cases and sleeves that slip onto the car's sun visor that provide quick accessibility to your favorite tunes.

Although a lot of consumers prefer to physically see what they are buying, online shopping options are wide spread and convenient. The possibilities are endless so it seems. Check out these online sites for your car audio system shopping alternatives. These are just a few.

I have a 1999 Crown victoria with 2 sony xplod 12s in the back with a 1000 watt amp. the bass is loud as hell, the only problem is, sometimes i can barely hear artists rap over the loud ass bass ( So basically, i just be riding around around listening to the bass, not anyone rapping lol) .I want to be able to have loud ass bass while being able to hear the artist rap. i have a jvc radio, and i have tried to figure out how to turn the bass down, but i can't. I have been told I can't hear the artist rap because my door speakers might be blown out and i should buy some new ones, and other times i have been told to by some tweeters and that will fix the problem. What do you thinmk the problem is?? help me please!!! i want to be able the have loud bass while being able the hear the artist talk/rap!!

Question about car audio battery and alternator?
The guy at my car audio place in town is trying to get me to buy a dc power alternator for about 600 bucks because he says there is not enough power. I asked him about just getting a car audio deep cycle battery like the optima yellow top, but he still says alternator. I really dont want to spend that much money. I guess what I need to know is can I get by with just getting the battery or would I have to get the alternator? My car: 2000 Chrysler 300m My system: 0 gauge wire will be running to 2 12" memphis mojo's with a 1000 watt memphis amp, and also a 15" power acoustik mofo with a 4000/1 power acoustik amplifier which supposably the sub should put out near 1500 to 1700 RMS just for that one sub. I'm not sure what RMS the mojo's will put out. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.
